2073 Year in Nepalese Hindu Calendar and Dutch King's Day (Koningsdag) celebrations

The 300-member Canterbury Nepalese Society (CNS), which was established in 2015, celebrated the Hindu New Year 2073 at the Aurora Centre in Christchurch on April 13.

Het Oranje Comite Christchurch (The Orange Committee) comprising the members of the Dutch community in Christchurch organised a Kings Day celebration to honour the birthday of the Dutch King, Willem-Alexander on April 27. More than 100 people attended the celebrations held at the Bardello Bar inAikmmans Road. All who attended were requested to wear something orange in honour of the Dutch Royal House Of Orange.
